Times change, rifles don't.
I came across this video on Youtube. We have an M1A set up as a DMR (designated marksman rifle). It is a loaded M1A with the McMillan M3A stock with adjustable cheekpiece and Leupold Mk4 scope with mildots. A very fun rifle to shoot.
So check out this video from Iraq. It should have been titled "count the M-14s".

The ongoing saga of the Armed Woman
I used to dislike guns of all types. When I first started dating the man who is now my husband I was about as anti-gun as they got. One of our first dates, however, was to the shooting range. My husband insisted that if we were to have any future together I'd have to at least be familiar with guns before I could hate them.
So he took me to the range with his AK47 (this was in the 1980s, so they were perfectly legal back then in California).
Lo and behold, I actually enjoyed shooting that rifle. Quickly, I realized that the problem with guns was not a problem at all. The problem was with the people who sometimes misused them.
Since then, I've had a much more open view of guns.
And that brings us to this blog. I'm a professional in Silicon Valley and chronicle my life with guns here.
Check in frequently for updates. Right now, I just wanted to introduce myself and get the blog moving.
